Dr Christina Joseph completed her Bachelor of Applied Science and Masters of Health Science (Osteopathy), at Victoria University, in Melbourne.
Christina believes that to truly and effectively address an injury, it is important to find, understand and treat the root cause of the pain.
Christina uses several treatment styles in her approach, including massage, stretching, mobilisation, joint manipulation, as well as a selection of more gentle techniques, which are ideal for treating children, and supporting women during and after pregnancy.
Christina is also a qualified dry needling practitioner, has 6 years experience working as a sports trainer, has her Cert IV in Training and Assessment, Cert IV in Leadership and Management and is a qualified Mental Health First Aider.
Christina can now be found back in Byron, between treatment rooms, as well as behind the scenes, putting her leadership and management skills to good use, helping to mentor and develop our talented team.
Practice principal Dr Nicholas Re (B.Sc, B.Ap.Sc, M.Ost.Med) is a fully qualified and registered osteopath, personal trainer (cert IV fitness) remedial massage therapist (Dip.Rem.Mass) and first aid trainer (cert IV Training & Assessment, Mental Health First Aid Certified Trainer).
Nick completed a Bachelor of Science, majoring in physiology and pharmacology, in Melbourne. Then spent two years working in the UK and Middle East as a psychological profiler.
Following this, Nick returned to his studies, completing a Bachelor of Applied Science and a Masters in Osteopathic Medicine.
Nick has worked as a fitness, performance and injury consultant to a number of sporting teams including AFL, Basketball & Cirque Du Soleil.
Nick created Retrain Health to fill a need in the Northern Rivers for accessible, personalised, health care that caters to the needs of the local community.
Dr Ady Anderson (B.Ap.Sc, M.Ost.Med) completed her Bachelor of Applied Science and Masters of Health Science (Osteopathy) at Victoria University in the heart of Melbourne.
Prior to studying osteopathy, Ady completed a Bachelor of Exercise and Sport Science, at Deakin University. Ady has a passion for physical activity and strongly believes in using osteopathy to help empower people to get back to doing what they love. She achieves this by using a wide range of techniques, including mobilisation, soft tissue massage, joint manipulation, dry needling, and rehabilitation exercises.
Ady has a keen interest in treating a wide range of conditions, including pregnancy, sports related pain, shoulder conditions and acute pain.
Between studies, Ady spent 3 years in London, working at a top luxury fashion retailer and traveling throughout Europe, with Bordeaux being one of her favourite destinations. Her combined love of travel and physical exercise has seen her hike Mt Kilimanjaro and Everest base camp (twice).
Ady has experience working with local and VFL football teams and is a passionate Melbourne supporter. In her spare time, Ady likes to play basketball, football, bake, walk her dog and spend time in the great outdoors.
Dr Stina Wangqvist (B.Clin.Sc, M.Ost.Med) completed her Bachelor of Clinical Science and Masters of Osteopathic Medicine, at Southern Cross University, in Lismore.
Stina is passionate about inspiring people to lead a healthier life and she has been working actively as a yoga therapist, facilitator and yoga teacher trainer since 2006.
Stina believes that breath and movement are essential components for optimal health, and that the aim of osteopathic treatment is to support the bodies self-regulatory and self-healing mechanisms.
Stina has a particular interest in movement, breath work, sports related pain, pregnancy and chronic conditions.
Stina uses a variety of techniques including massage, articulation, mobilisation, manipulation, dry needling, and stretching.
Stina is a mother of two children and can relate to all the challenges that comes with family life. When she is not in the clinic, she loves to get artistic with brushes and paint, to practice on her yoga mat, and to get out with family and friends.
REMEDIAL MASSAGE THERAPIST
Leire is a fully qualified and private health fund eligible remedial massage therapist.
Leire is passionate about holistic health and encourages her patients to strive for optimal wellbeing. She believes massage to be an essential tool for mind-body intervention and achieves this by using a variety of massage techniques including Remedial, Hot Stone, Relaxation, Deep Tissue, Pregnancy, Myofacial, Lymphatic and Trigger Point Release.
In her spare time, Leire is working on her Advanced Diploma in Ayurveda, taking sunrise walks along the beach, hiking around Byron, or dancing and cooking with friends.
Mikaela is a business management graduate with a major in environmental management and sustainability.
Mikaela has a passion for health and well-being recently completing a yoga teacher training course and is also currently studying osteopathy.
Understanding and managing health and well being is important to Mikaela and something she is especially interested in and passionate about.

Jess is a Ballina local, who grew up spending time down at Lighthouse Beach.
She is currently completing her TAFE Certificate III Business Administration, studying a Bachelor of Business and a Bachelor of International Relations and Government.
Jess has a keen interest in travel and enjoys experiencing differing cultures. She lists Paris as a personal favorite destination.
Jess enjoys being creative and when she is not in the clinic she can be found expressing herself through painting and sketching.
Jess has an attention to detail which drives her to offer the best possible service for patients.
